But, like all manufacturers, its core business is still the innerspring mattress and currently it offers the Restonic ComfortCare mattress. There's a lot of jargon thrown about by all manufacturers and pseudo technical words and other meaningless terms are obfuscating what's on offer. Whether this has been deliberate or is the result of marketing hype is debatable. But let's try and makes sense of what the consumer is really getting.
Manufacturers usually offer mattresses in firm, medium or soft. This is often a personal choice, although a bed that is too soft may lead to back and posture problems, and if the bed is too hard it can cause pain in your hips and shoulders. A mattress may also be described as 'orthopedic' but this does not mean it is designed especially for the back. This only means that it is the firmest mattress in the range so do not be deceived by this when you are choosing a bed.
If your futon will only be used occasionally, perhaps in a guest room or formal living room, the mattress is a place where you can save some money. A simple cotton-filled mattress should suffice. If the futon is meant for daily use, in a den or child's room, you need a high-quality mattress. A coil-filled mattress will hold up to the rigors of daily or nightly use. The costs of the mattresses are directly related to how durable and comfortable they will be.
