While daybed mattresses are available only in twin size, they are typically thinner than standard twin size mattresses. Daybed mattresses are deliberately thinner to make allowances for the daybed's distinctive back; you don't want the back so high that the unique design is obstructed from view. There's no law stating that you can't use the standard twin mattress you already have on hand; just make sure that it won't cover up the very features that attracted you to daybed in the first place. When using standard twin size mattresses instead of daybed mattresses, an individual mattress should be no higher than eight inches. Don't forget that you will also need to leave room for daybed bedding.
Kingsdown makes three ranges of mattress; the Kingsdown Perfect Partner, the Kingsdown Plush Sense mattress and the Kingsdown Body System mattress. Each offers different characteristics to give the consumer a comfortable mattress. But in order to review Kingsdown mattresses and then decide if they offer good value for money one must understand the niche market that Kingsdown fills.
I really have to disagree on this. In Europe, boxsprings are almost unheard of and we don't seem to hear them complaining. Also, with a mattress like a Stearns and Foster, that is sometimes more than 12" thick and needs two people to carry it, it really ought to be good enough to support the sleeper. Other companies, selling latex and memory foam mattresses, don't recommend a boxspring, so why Stearns and Foster recommends one for its innerspring and latex versions is debatable. I sometimes wonder if it's just a ploy on making more money by making customers believe they need this 'extra' support.
